The past few days here on the island have been sublime
windless,
endless azure skies,
warm temperatures
a sea so still it is more a mirror than a liquid border that surrounds our beloved “Rock.”
Mother Nature has delivered the perfect gift to us islanders.
Days before the frenzy of another summer season will explode upon us,
we can really enjoy this respite from our normally dramatically dynamic weather.
We can reflect and remember the real reasons we are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

Mykonos is serene and idyllic now.
Captured is the tranquil beauty of the surroundings normally chaotic.
To my fellow islanders, I hope you can make the most of the serene moments.
For those of you that are not here, I encourage you to visit us in a future spring–
to experience both the energy of anticipation and the beauty of nature at its best.
I share with you the “reflections” I have enjoyed these last few days:
-from above the harbor,
-from the parking lot above town,
-entering the waterfront from the sea,
-my favorite beach, Agios Stefanos.
I am reflecting,
looking back at many memories and looking forward to the new memories
to be made as the summer shines enticingly ahead …
May your reflections, wherever you are, be filled with hope as well.
